P1,2 and 3 had a fabulous morning at the Down Museum learning about 'Toys and Games from the Past'.
After listening to the lady tell how boys and girls used these toys it was 'Play-time'. First we dressed up in olden day clothes. We played with pop-guns, catch the fish, various dolls made out of wooden spoons , hoola-hoops, china tea-sets, wooden hobby horses, cars, ships and lots, lots more. Then it was time to make some old fashioned Christmas cards and decorations. As we were leaving the Museum Linda ( who looked after us) showed us some of the cells....I think the boys and girls were glad to get back onto the bus back to our lovely warm school. A great day was had by all!
