Week 5 update with Benny

26th Mar 2026

This week, our pupils enjoyed another fantastic session with Benny Coulter, and the focus was all on developing control, coordination, and confidence with the football through the skill of the toe tap.

Benny introduced a range of fun and challenging activities to help the children improve their ball-handling skills. Pupils worked on:

  • Toe tapping the ball with quick, light touches
  • Catching the ball in a cone after completing toe taps
  • Moving the cone around their back while the ball on top  — a brilliant test of focus and coordination!

The highlight of the session was a toe tap competition, where pupils battled it out to see who could perform the most toe taps in one minute. The excitement and energy were fantastic to see!

To finish, the boys and girls put their new skills into action by taking part in small-sided matches, giving them the perfect opportunity to practise control under pressure and enjoy some friendly competition.

A huge thank you to Benny for another amazing and action-packed week. The children are loving every moment and their skills are improving brilliantly!
