Week Two with the Brilliant Benny Coulter!
This week marked our second fantastic coaching session with the incredibly talented Benny Coulter, and what a session it was! The children were full of energy and excitement from the moment they stepped into the hall ready to absorb every bit of GAA wisdom Benny had to offer.
To keep things engaging and give everyone plenty of opportunity to participate, the children were divided into small groups. Each group then took part in fast-paced games of Olympic handball—and they absolutely loved it!
Each team was made up of five players, and the goal was simple: work together, move the ball quickly, and score as many goals as possible. Benny challenged the children to rely on their teamwork and skills, reminding them that they were only allowed to bounce and hand pass the ball. This meant lots of quick thinking, clever movement, and excellent cooperation.
The hall was buzzing with enthusiasm as the children cheered one another on, made fantastic plays, and showed brilliant sporting spirit. It was clear from the smiles and laughter that they had an amazing time.
Even better, Benny helped us spot some outstanding talent within St. Joseph’s. We’re so proud of the effort, determination, and skill our pupils showed. Their progress in just two weeks has been incredible, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to develop throughout the programme.
Well done, everyone—and a huge thank you once again to Benny for inspiring our young athletes!
