Pancake Tuesday
Relive Pancake Tuesday with Your Little Chefs! ?
For Pancake Tuesday, our pupils at St.Joseph's delighted in the delicious art of pancake-making. Guided by their teachers, they embarked on a culinary adventure that filled the day with joy and learning.
First, students gathered their ingredients: flour, eggs, butter milk, sugar and baking powder. They measured each item with care, applying their mathematical skills to ensure precision. They also used their knowledge of instructional writing and using imperative verbs to write an excellent set of instructions on how to make pancakes. They mixed these ingredients in a bowl, creating a smooth batter. Stirring with enthusiasm, they eagerly anticipated the next step.
Pan ready, they heated a pan and under the guidance of their teachers they carefully poured a ladleful of batter onto it. With focused attention, they watched the pancake as it cooked until golden on each side. As the aroma filled the air, the excitement grew!
Finally, the pancakes were ready to be adorned with favorite toppings. Some chose a drizzle of syrup, chocolate spread, marshmallows, while others added fruit for a healthy twist.
This hands-on experience enriched their learning, blending practical skills with creativity. Celebrate Pancake Tuesday at home by trying this simple activity with your children! Share your pancake creations with us!
