Geology Rocks Aventure
Yesterday our wonderful P6&7 class along with Newcastle Primary School had a fun filled day with James and the guys from Geology Rocks Adventure. First up was rock climbing the children were very eager and wasted no time getting kitted up in helmets and harness. Giggles and shouts filled the air as they scrambled across rocks finding grips, each successful moved was cheered from their classmates. Next up was abseiling, a real test of courage. One by one they cautiously moved towards the edge, their instructors offering calm encouragement. A few nervous faces but they bravely leaned back and descended down the cliff. But the real highlight of the day was bouldering at Bloody Bridge. Perched on the edge of a jagged cliff looking down into deep rock pools, with hesitation before they launched themselves into the air plunging into the cold water below with huge splashes and laughter as they surfaced was an unforgettable day of fun and daring. A day to talk about for weeks to come!
