Earth Day in Primary 4 & 5
To celebrate World Earth Day, the children in Primary 4 and 5 took part in a lovely outdoor activity using natural materials such as twigs, leaves, flowers and grass to create their own beautiful pictures. It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature while getting creative.
World Earth Day, celebrated every year on 22nd April, is a special day dedicated to caring for our planet. It helps children and adults learn about the importance of looking after the Earth and how small actions can make a big difference in keeping our world clean, tidy and beautiful.
The children had a very enjoyable time collecting materials, designing their pictures and sharing their ideas with each other. As they worked, they also engaged in meaningful discussions about how we can help protect our environment — from picking up litter and recycling, to caring for plants and respecting nature.
This hands on activity encouraged creativity, teamwork and environmental awareness, all while having lots of fun outdoors. It was a fantastic way to celebrate World Earth Day and inspire our children to become Earth friendly heroes!
