Down GAA Coach
We are delighted to announce that Benny Coulter, legendary former Down county footballer, will be working with our school from now until the end of the school year. This is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to learn from one of the most talented Gaelic footballers our county has ever produced.
Benny is widely known for being an exceptional footballer admired for his skill, strength, leadership, and incredible scoring ability. His contribution to Down GAA has inspired players of all ages across the county, and we are thrilled that our pupils will have the chance to learn directly from him.
What the Children Will Learn
Under Benny’s coaching, pupils will develop and strengthen a wide range of Gaelic football skills, including:
- Kicking skills – shooting, passing, and long-range accuracy
- Soloing and ball control
- High catching and fielding techniques
- Tackling and defensive movement
- Teamwork, communication, and game awareness
- Agility, footwork, and overall coordination
Through his guidance, children will greatly improve their Gaelic skills, build confidence, and develop a love for the sport in a fun and supportive environment.
We are truly privileged to have a coach of Benny’s calibre in our school, and we look forward to an exciting term of learning, teamwork, and Gaelic football!
