Boccia at the club

12th Jun 2026
The Ballykinlar GAA Club was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and great community spirit during the recent Boccia morning held with the Forever Young group. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, enjoy some light exercise, and share plenty of good-humoured moments.
A sincere thank you goes to Maria McKeating, who did a fantastic job organising the morning. Everything ran smoothly, and the event was made even more enjoyable thanks to the delicious snacks she kindly provided—very much appreciated by all in attendance!
The Boccia games themselves were full of excitement, with everyone getting involved and showcasing their skills. Of course, a special (and slightly cheeky!) mention has to go to Mrs Turley, who demonstrated such impressive precision that some are now questioning whether she’s been secretly training for the Boccia Olympics. Let’s just say, if there were medals on offer, she’d have needed a bigger handbag to carry them home!
Overall, it was a fantastic morning that highlighted the value of staying active, socially connected, and having fun. Events like this truly capture the spirit of the Forever Young group, and everyone is already looking forward to the next get-together at Ballykinlar GAA Club.
