Intergenerational week
On Friday we enjoyed a wonderful Intergenerational Bingo Morning, filled with laughter, connection, and community spirit. Intergenerational means bringing together people from different age groups — in this case, children and adults — to spend time together, learn from one another, and build meaningful relationships. This event is part of an Education Authority intergenerational initiative, which encourages positive links between schools and the wider community.
The morning was a great success. We played three games of bingo, and it was lovely to see the excitement grow with each one. In each game, there was one child winner and one adult winner, giving us six winners in total across the three games — a perfect example of the shared fun that intergenerational events are all about.
All of the prizes were very generously donated, and we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed. Your kindness and support helped make the morning so special.
A very special thank you goes to Sean Magorrian, who always supports the school so generously and so well. We are deeply grateful for his continued kindness and commitment to our school community.
After bingo, everyone enjoyed a lovely time chatting together over tea, coffee, buns, and biscuits, rounding off a truly enjoyable morning.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event. We look forward to many more intergenerational occasions in the future that bring our community together in such a positive and meaningful way.
