Benny returns after Easter break

16th Apr 2026

We were delighted to welcome the talented Benny Coulter back to school this week to continue coaching our amazing pupils. With the sunshine on our side, the children were able to get outside and fully enjoy a range of engaging outdoor activities.

During the session, Benny worked closely with the girls on developing their ball-handling skills, focusing on how to lift the ball correctly using the drop and roll technique. The pupils also revisited and refined key skills including the high catch, toe tap and bounce, building confidence and control through clear demonstrations and plenty of practice.

These skills link directly to the PE curriculum, supporting the development of fundamental movement skills, coordination, balance and teamwork. The children were encouraged to apply these techniques in game situations, helping them to understand how individual skills contribute to successful performance in sport.

The session finished with a fantastic game of football rounders, where the children showed excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. The match was closely contested and ended in an exciting 6–6 draw, a true reflection of how much the pupils have progressed.

It has been wonderful to see just how much the children have improved since working with Benny. Their confidence, technical ability and enjoyment of physical activity continue to grow with every session.

A huge thank you to Benny Coulter for sharing his excellent ability, knowledge and enthusiasm with our pupils. We are incredibly grateful for his continued support and the positive impact he has on our school community.
