A Wonderful Shared Education Trip with Newcastle PS!

10th Jun 2026

Our children recently enjoyed a truly fantastic Shared Education trip with our friends from Newcastle PS, and what an incredible day it was!

Shared Education is an important part of our curriculum, providing children with opportunities to learn, play, and build positive relationships with pupils from different schools and communities. Through Shared Education, children develop key skills such as teamwork, communication, cooperation, respect, and friendship while taking part in meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences together.

To celebrate another successful year of Shared Education, the children travelled to the beach for a day full of fun, creativity, and friendship. After enjoying their snack together, the children joined with their friends from Newcastle PS to explore the beach and search for a variety of natural materials including seaweed, shells, driftwood, stones, and other treasures washed up along the shore.

The children were then given the exciting task of creating a picture using only the materials they had found on the beach — and they certainly did not disappoint! Their creativity and imagination were absolutely outstanding. From beautiful islands and flowing rivers to magical mermaids and seaside scenes, the children produced some truly amazing artwork. We were so proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork, and artistic talent shown by everyone throughout the activity.

Following such a busy and enjoyable morning with their friends, Mrs. Connor’s class were treated to a delicious ice cream — which was very well deserved!

However, the highlight of the day for many of the children was an unexpected surprise meeting with TikToker Holly The Destroyer! Holly could not have been kinder. She even came onto the bus to chat with the children and take photographs with them, making the experience even more special and memorable for everyone involved.

What a truly amazing day from beginning to end and a wonderful way to celebrate and conclude another successful year of Shared Education. We are so proud of all the children for the friendships they have built and the fantastic manner in which they represented our school throughout the programme.
