Autumn News!
This term, our Foundation stage class has been exploring the vibrant season of autumn through a variety of creative and cross-curricular activities. The children brought in a variety of Fruit & Vegetables from home to help us learn.
As part of our fruit and vegetable topic, the children have been learning about Autumn, seasons, and Fruit and Vegetables. We’ve enjoyed reading and retelling the traditional tale of The Enormous Turnip, which has helped us develop our storytelling and sequencing skills.
We’ve also had lots of fun with potato printing, using autumn colours and vegetable shapes to create beautiful seasonal artwork. It’s been a fantastic way to combine literacy, science, and art while celebrating the changes we see around us at this time of year.
